Young poets ages 10-14 can learn about the process of writing and performing spoken word poetry by, well, writing and performing spoken word poetry! In this 5-day camp, we will explore the origins of this powerful art form, write a lot of Messy First Drafts and refine them for a showcase at the end of the week, interspersed with on-your-feet games and time to play at the local park. I will be lead teaching this camp.
